Big Book Crit - DMA Weds 15th November @Indicia

The Direct Marketing Associations Big Book Crit series kicks off next week in London at PSONA (based just off Oxford Circus).

Tickets are still available for all locations, so if your students haven’t already signed up, they can do so here.

Bristol - Wednesday 15th November, 6-9pm @ Indicia

So who’s the event for?

Students with a portfolio of work who are looking for genuine, constructive feedback from Creative Directors, and career advice from industry big shot

•Students who have an interest in marketing, but aren’t sure in what area (you don’t have to be doing a marketing degree!). Come along to get a great insight and be inspired by some friendly faces!

•Students on the hunt for a grad job or experience

Please can you ask students to come prepared with their work including a set idea on which work they would like to focus on – we’re recommending showing 3 pieces per 15 minute session. It would also be great if they come prepped with some questions to ask the experts.

If any of your students are entering the Breakthrough Award, this is a great opportunity to receive feedback on their entry so far – especially if you’re lacking the time to look over it yourself!

Please get in touch with Hannah if you want to find out more.

  • We are a training provider with an exchange programme of German students. We have a group of German students attending next week and unfortunately we are short of work experience placements for those whose skills are with Bicycles. Workk experience would take place between Tuesday 28 - Friday 31 August 22, 2018 Are there any providers, colleges who know of employers will to offer work experience? Or employers themselves? The students speak very good English and are all over the age of 16 years. Any suggestions would be much appreciated - please contact Heather Reed, tel 0117 953 3001 with information. Many thanks.

  • Skills West is supporting Open Doors day on Weds 18th October; an opportunity for creative & digital companies across Bristol to ‘open their doors’ to the citizens of Bristol who are interested in what goes on in the creative, media and tech sector in Bristol and wondered what goes on inside. The aim is to support networking across the city and we believe that Open Doors will encourage people to discover the diversity of talent and industry across the sector and encourage individuals to see the wealth of opportunities in the sector. Sessions will take throughout the day and each organisation will host its own unique event. Businesses taking part include Icon films, Films @59, BIOME, Spike Island, Hurricane, Calling the Shots, Calvium and Engine Shed. Place are running out so do pass onto students and teaching staff asap. Book on here:
