The CIPD’s findings in Assessing the Early Impact of the Apprenticeship Levy follow a sharp decline in the number of apprenticeship starts. One consequence of rebadging apprenticeships and training finds the CIPD is that an increasing proportion of apprenticeships are going to existing and often older employees, including already well-qualified managers. Online hackathon 24 to 26 October , for Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week. It will be the first international youth hackathon in media and information literacy. Students and young professionals will form teams to complete a series of tasks over the course of three days, from brainstorming and validating ideas to prototyping and pitching. Winners of the three-day hackathon will be eligible for seed funding from an investment pool sponsored by UNESCO and the MiSK Foundation .
