On Tuesday 3rd February, employers, students and apprentices came together for a highly engaging Hayesfield Business Breakfast, focused on apprenticeships and future talent.
The morning created an energetic and welcoming space where local employers, students and apprentices could come together to connect, explore opportunities and share insight through the lens of apprenticeships. With National Apprenticeship Week taking place next week, the event served as a timely launchpad for further conversations around skills, recruitment and future talent.
Attendees heard directly from apprentices, including those from Nokia and Unilever, who shared their first-hand experiences and spoke openly about the value of learning and earning through an apprenticeship.
The event also welcomed Frazer Barnett from IQ Mobile, who provided a valuable employer perspective, sharing his organisation’s experience of recruiting an apprentice last year and the positive impact it has had.
The business breakfast was organised by Katie Green, Apprenticeship Service Manager, and she was joined by Sam Hill, Share to Support Manager, helping to bring together partners, employers and learners for a morning of inspiring stories, practical insight and meaningful connections.
